I know its been asked before but.. 2.5 leveling kit.. should I get the rear blocks too or just the front?

I have a rear leaf spring gone so it has to come out anyway,

Its a 2005 FX4 super crew.

Second question... are left springs hard to replace???

If you want it to still have the rake then get a block, if you wan it level..no block

Yes that is the hard spring to get out, you have to cut the front bolt off since the gas tank is in the way, or drop your gas tank.

Its not the main spring that is broken, it's the second one from the bottom. I just went out and looked I can't see the gas tank being in the way unless I have to take the main one out too?

That is correct, you could replace the one leaf with the main leaf left on, so no you dont have to cut that bolt

That is correct the 04+ f150's have 2 bolts, Basically it is the same as an old chevy, not a big deal

Support frame with jackstands
unbolt U bolts and lower axle with a jack
Be careful to not stretch your brake lines
Use 2 c clamps to hold the springs together
remove the 2 locating pins
loosen clamps then replace your bad leaf and put it back together

I dont even know if you can buy them individually, which is why I assumed you were changing the whole pack

Thanks, I guess that's why the guy told me I had to cut them to length, which I have no idea how I would do it.

probably easier to find a used leaf from a junk yard or craigslist and get the one you need out of that

Autospring is a good one that is sold on ebay. Lots of members have it. The 2.5 inch should leave u right about level since your truck is an 05.

Yeah in 2006 they changed the rear end just a bit and if you put on a leveling kit of 2.5 or more you needed to add a block or spring to the rear in order to keep the rear from being just a bit lower.
