I thought I would share pictures of my 2005 FX4.

New Wheels/Tires/Flares:







I have had this for 6 years. It was time for a change. I upgraded to Lariat leather years ago and I am so glad I did.

 

Looks good! I've always like that color combination two tone, wish my truck had it.

City of Champs has those flares on his truck. When he took them off to get the truck repainted it was rusting from the flares rubbing against the body. I do believe he mounted them different after his truck was repainted so they won't rub/rust. He has a thread somewhere here in the 04-08 section. Might want to look into it so you don't have any problems down the road.

Thanks! I will have to check out that thread. They do mount with seal or "gasket". I thought that was to protect the body. Hmmmm...

 

What are the wheel/tire specs?

The Wheels are MHT Fuel 20x9 +14mm offset. The Tires are GY Wrangler Duratrac 275/65/20.

Decided to swap out the brush guard for the Westin Bull Bar. Much better!

Question - Should I have the bottom of the flares painted gray to match the lower rockers?

 

Bull bar looks WAY better. I think painting the flares grey would make the truck flow better

Paint em grey. Either the bottom part to match or maybe the whole thing might look good. Have someone in the photoshop thread hook you up to see how either would look.
