Back-up camera and wiring problems
Back-up camera and wiring problems
I am stuck scratching my head over this back up camera issue. I have a 2006 FX4 and recently installed a new head unit in it. I put in a Pioneer AVH-P3300BT unit with the touch screen. This thing is awesome. I even installed the Audiovox back up camera. There is the problem....
Everything was working perfect, when I loaned my truck to the brother in law. He needed to move his camper to the lake for for the day. I found out that he just left my truck hooked up to the camper for the day. The camper was being powered by an gas powered generator, but he left the camper plugged into my truck.
Every since then, my back up camera doesnt work. I checked all the fuses that I know about and everything looks alright. I have it powered to the orange wire on the 7 pin plug, at the back of the truck.
I was hoping to get some expert advice on what I need to look at next. Could it be one of the relays went bad since the truck was left plugged into the camper? I know nothing about relays
Thanks

he prob drained the battery and jumped your truck. on pioneers, the backup camera setting is defaulted to "off"... you need to go into the set up menu in the radio to turn the back up camera to "on"
