Retro projecter vs aftermarket projector headlight?

What is the advantage of doing the retrofit projector vs just getting an aftermarket headlight that has projectors? Or is there one?

Aftermarket projector headlights are poor quality, and are not designed for HID bulbs to be put in. I believe that the aftermarket projector lenses are plastic.

Retrofitting is the only way to get projectors designed for HID lights. The projector housings you see on ebay are not made for HID and scatter the light, making the headlights the same or worse than stock. You will also blind people if you install HID bulbs due to not having a proper cut-off. In short, if you are going HID, do the retrofit or don't go HID at all to avoid looking like a ricer and blinding every oncoming driver.

Ahh ok I didnt know...I want a projector so the HID is done right...but I didnt realize the difference in the aftermarket projectors and the ones used in the retro fits. I will probably get a set from sickhid's then.

Thanks!
