You might find this kinda' funny :-)

Just a random thing that happened to me yesterday in the truck.....

So, I just started parking my truck in the garage. It's a pretty tight squeeze. After noticing that the garage door was litterally hitting my trailer hitch, I decided to move the truck 6" forward. I fire it up, put it in drive, with my foot on the brake of course, let it roll just a touch, then stop it and throw it in park.
I took my foot off of the brake peddle, but left the truck running, and then turned on the stereo.
I turn up the stereo a bit, sit back, and start to get comfortable, when Bam ! My truck suddenly lunges like I had gotten hit by another vehicle !

WTF !?!?!?

Dudes, my freaking heart immediatly lodged in my throat ! But I'm parked in the freaking garage ? I look behind me, and my Landlords car is 6 feet away, and she's not even in it !

So now I'm thinking, okay, did something BIG and HEAVY fall over and hit my truck ? ....or fall down from the rafters and hit me ?
OR, is my tranny effing up, and it tried to go into gear ?

OR, did my room mate sneak out and slam against my bumper just to screw with me ???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, I kill the truck, and start walking around it, still worried about what I might find....
As I get up to the front right, I realize what my dum-bass had done....
The day before, I had put a large brick in front of my tire, so I wouldn't pull too far forward. When I let the truck roll 6", I had inadvertantly rolled part way up, on one side of the brick. As I sat there idling, the brick finally shook loose, and popped out, causing the truck to lunge forward like it had been rear ended ! Doh !
Sometimes its good to find out your just a dum-bass, and not to have a real problem to worry about
Peace,
Fish
Park it where you want it, then tie a string to a tennis ball and hang it so it just touches the windshield. No projectiles that way!
Yes that was funny, glad nothing is broke!
Jggr, yea', I had already thought about the tennis ball trick, but at that point, my truck had to sit at kind of a diagonal, until we moved some more stuff this morning, so yea.... I'll put the tennis ball up tonight.
Swimtexan, well I laughed at myself > But only after the fact !
Reminds me of the first time I brought my truck home from the dealer and parked it in my garage.
As I was pulling in, I heard this distinct "squeaking" sound. Thinking I had left a step stool or something in front of the truck, I got out and looked in front of the vehicle -- nothing. Got back in the truck and pulled forward again -- same "squeaking" sound.
Then I got this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach, thinking that the "squeaking" sound must be the noise of the garage door opener arm being dragged across the roof of my new truck.....
Got out, looked on top of the truck and braced for the worst -- turns out it was just the little plastic handle on a short nylon cord that was hanging from the emergency release of the garage door opener being dragged across the roof panel -- WHEW......!!!
