Brake Light

Every now and then while I'm driving the red Brake light in the lower left of my Cluster will turn on. Only started happening over the past couple days. I've tried applying and then letting out the E-Brake all the way when it happens but that doesn't turn it off.

I don't think there's any kind of leak in the lines because there's no fluid on the ground under the truck or dripping from it as far as I can tell. Also, the brakes don't feel any different than they usually do.

Any ideas an what to check first?

Thanks.

My moms GMC Yukon does the same thing. I think it is in the wiring or a switch or something. I told her nothing was wrong and she has just learned to ignore it.

Check your e-brake cable for dragging as its a problem with our trucks. Check fluid levels and last case replace the fuse. If nothing else is wrong you might have a bad sensor or wiring issue if the fuse doesn't solve the problem.

Thanks. I'll give those a try in the morning. Where exactly would the cable be dragging at?
