Towing mirrors - power foldable?!

I'm looking to get towing mirrors for my 07 F150 truck but my truck came with a power folding feature - would like to keep the feature. Does anyone know if the OEM towing mirrors will work with power folding? I believe pulling the mirrors out or in are not powered but I'm curious about folding.

Sorry if this topic has been already covered.

They make them were the actual mirror is power adjustable and the lenses are electrically heated, but I haven't seen any power folding mirrors. If they are made, then tasca parts should have them, and I didn't see them on their website.

Right, that is exactly what I'm reading on these forums, but power folding is my only main concern because it's a nice feature to have. I'll have to contact tasca and find out.

No, they do not make any form of OEM Tow Mirror for the F150 that has the Power Fold feature. I asked them this about a set of power mirrors I got last winter.

They also don't have the power Telescoping feature either. Powerfold and Power Telescope are only available on the F250-F550 trucks with Tow Mirrors.

how bout a DIY on this one, sounds like a nice feature and if a 250 can have it, then so can 150, cant be anything more then a series of motors and wiring.. having a slightly mechanical backround i'll look into "what it would take" to get this done

Have fun with that. I think it'd be less of a mechanical feat to retrofit a pair of F250 mirrors, but they're a bit bigger than the F150 tow mirrors.

Dang, lucky song of a gun for 250 and above owners.

If you ever get this done and got it working with power folding along with other features, LET ME KNOW! If it doesn't cost much and doesn't take a lot of work done, I'm definitely interested doing this DIY. Thanks !

well i looked into it this weekend and the benefits definitely do not outweigh the cost of this project or the amount of work/time it would consume.. best to just fold them in yourself..
