My problem is none of my windows go down from either the driver controls or any of the other controls in the truck.

I used to have a problem where I couldn't put my windows up or down when my driver side door was open but now I cant even put any windows down driving.

Any ideas whats wrong? Greatly appreciated.

 

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think the general concensus on this one is to pop the door cover and try cleaning the contacts first. Usually that does the trick.

My driver's side door acts a little squirrely from time to time--I might have to take my own advice one day soon. Hope that helps.

 

first check your fuse panel

Then try cleaning the contacts of the switch. If you search on here there is a good thread about how to do this.

based on your description it sounds like you might have a loose/fraying wire somewhere in your drivers door... if that's the case it will be more difficult to find

 

checked fuse panel removed the fuse, sunroof and back sliding windows also stopped working. Put the fuse back and sunroof and rear sliding windows worked again but the other windows still dont work. Popped open the driver side door and cleaned still have the same problem.

Could something have happened with the wiring?

 

Just shooting from the hip here but you may have a ground problem if it didn't work previously with the door open. Check your ground wires from the switch to make sure there is good contact and you may have to have someone with a meter check it out.
