Rear air bags

To those with rear helper bags, how much lift if any do you get at the minimum air pressure? From what I have read you should maintain between 5 to 10 psi in the bags while not inflated for hauling.

I have a set of the long add a leafs on my truck now that does give a little lift but I don't see that much gain in the load handling department. I want to add a set of bags to help with leveling the truck back out while towing and hauling but I don't want any more lift in the rear.

I have the Airlift kit in my 04 Screw at 5-10 psi the lift is minimal like less than 1/4" if that. At about 40 psi it can get closer to an 1" of lift. They are great for putting a load or trailer on, just adjust the pressure and the truck looks the same and rides great.

at low pressure (< 5psi) there is little to no lift, at 100 psi (max my bags can hold) the rear bumper is 3" higher. Obviously you can go anywhere in between also, but the ride is harsh with any more than 5psi and no load.

That is what I was wanting to hear. I do understand that the ride will get worse but then again it is a pickup.

Woods-Rider,
What set up are you running? I am leaning more towards the Firestone double bella kits rather than the pop can style. Any info is appriciated.

Ride seems the same on mine at minimum psi, but is only harsher at high psi with no load. I have air lift brand kit on mine and works wonders when hauling a dirtbike, 4 wheeler and the travel trailer. My truck sits level with the 5 psi, minimal lift if any. I have pics at different psi on my profile. Search album level with rear bags.
