New Driveshaft

Been reading up on the various issues with the driveshafts and not being able to replace individual parts.. I posted a question to someon else who had replaced with a driveshaft from driveshaftspecialist in Texas to see how it has been holding up. Anyone else have a driveshaft issue, (carrier bearing failure, universal failure, etc.) that did not go with a ford replacement shaft? I am obviously out of warranty at this point and do not want to fork over 1100+ to ford for another shaft to replace a 35 dollar bearing. The new shaft from these other guys is totally rebuildable if ever need be. I have a NBS 04 SCAB 8' bed with no real issues until the last couple of months. My manifold on the passenger side is leaking, like so many others, and now the bearing.. Other than that the truck has been pretty good.. Just sucks when a manufacturer cheaps out on certain stuff that turns into a headache when it breaks.. Want to save a few bucks, do it where those parts are easy to replace!

So I pulled the driveshaft off today and discovered that the bearing is fine.. The rubber insulator has however delaminated from the bearing and therefore no longer holds it in place as the suspension moves.. What a crap design, a piece of rubber comes undone and you have to buy a new drive shaft? so pissed off...
