Brake squealing when not braking?

Lately I've noticed a slight squealing that appears to be coming from my back drivers side brake. The thing is though, it squeals when I'm not even applying my brakes. Its very slight, and doesn't happen all of the time, but I definatly notice it. I've check for rocks but I don't see any. Any insight on to what that might be would be appreciated.

A couple of things, check how much brake pad is remaining. There is a bent spring that rubs your rotors if the brake pad gets to low. It makes a noise to warn you. The next thing is to check to make sure you're brake pads are releasing when you let off the brake. If one of the pads is rubbing, it will be worn more than the other half. You have to check the disk hardware and caliper pins to make sure they are not rusted/seized...

Could be as simple as dirt. Try taking the tire, caliper, and rotor off and spray it all off real good. Spray the hub too. It's worked for me before. A pressure washer works best if you have access to one

It is probably the tell tail on the brake that tells you the brake needs replacing.

I had a pad crack in half causing a squeek between 25-45 mph. S10, not my F150.
