broken plug removal

had to pull the plugs in my 05,f150 5.4. 4 broke off.
I had a thought on the broken plug removal. If i disabled the ignition system and used the starter to turn the engine. Would the broken plug shoot out or get loose enough for removal. Some of the older v10 gas engines had problem with plugs being shoot out. thoughts questions advise??? Please advise..

Thanks

Regards, alex

It might work ok, but what if it came out crooked and boogered the threads in the head. The Lisle tool works so well, why take a chance?

I'd rather spend a $100 for the Lisle tool than $1000 for a new head if something went wrong.
