L/F brake locking up and smoking. Any suggestions? I was going to start with the hose and go from there.

I just replaced my front passenger and my rear driver side calipers for the same issues. I have a 2004 FX4 supercrew. Im going to replace the other 2 next weekend so they dont lock up on me anymore. Cailpers didnt cost too much and its really easy to bo in the garage with a few beers.

Same issue. Mine turned out to be cracked pistons. It wasn’t releasing correctly causing the brake to stay engaged.

Same exact issue here. My drivers front brake piston crumbled a few months back and the brakes wouldn't release, causing shaking issues in the front end. New caliper solved it, and I replaed the pads and rotors on the front for good measure.

Same here, it was the passenger front caliper.

I replaced my calipers when I did my powerslot rotors...they were both cracked in the front....def something wrong with the 04-05 brake calipers on the front. I have had numerous people with F150s of the same year have the same problem. Warped rotors is another common problem.

Replace your caliper and your rotor as it is probably damaged.
