Very Please with the 5.4L MPG today

I took a trip down to Delware to see a few friends. In my 06 SuperCab FX4 When I left I wanted to see what my MPG would be on the way home. (Because here in NY Is a lot of stop and go. So I average about 14-16mpg.) So before I left Delware I filled the tank up. I jump on the highway and Set the Curise to 65 mph. I got to say it was pretty clear traffic down the NJ turn pkye untill about exit 8 or 9. Hit a little congesttion. Then made it to stupid Stand island NY where it was mostly stop and go to Queens NY. I filled it up again as soon as I got home.

I drove a 142 miles and only used 6.06 gallons of Gas. I got over 23 mpg. I also do have a few mods on the truck. drop in K&N filter, Flowmaster Mufflers, And a SCT Tunner with there 87 tune uploaded. I'm really happy with that today. I just wanted to see if would get what the sticker said 18 mpg.

I took the same trip with my 00 Lightning last month and got 17,7 MPG and hit more traffic then today.

Wow that's really good. Wish I could have seen numbers like that when I moved from Virgina to Alabama. BUT, I had my truck loaded down in the bed plus a 6x12 u-haul trailer. The first half of the trip through VA and NC was full of hills and I averaged 10 mpg. But from South Carolina on down it was fairly flat and averaged 11.7-12 mpg. Still heart breaking though. Congrats with the good gas. Now just need to figure out how to get that good in the city.

Best I have ever seen in my truck was 16.2, and that was NOT completely stock!

The best I have ever gotten was just over 500 miles to one tank.. That was driving from Iowa to Florida bone stock except flowmaster exhaust.. When i drove from Florida back up, i had the truck loaded down and a uhaul, i was averaging around 350-400 miles per tank..

Yeah I still can't believe it. I got the bed cover on it, and I drove with all the windows open. I was just going to be happy if it made what the sticker said.

I wish I could see those numbers....The wheel/tire combo just won't allow it though

I'm happy to see 17-18 on longer trips on the freeway.
