Talking New To The Site

Hello everyone, just wanted to make a sort of intro post the forum. I recently bought a 2005 F150 XLT Supercab from a family member. It has the 5.4 liter V8, and is 2wd. As of now, the truck is completely stock (oh wait, I put a Duke plate on the front lol), but I plan to begin modding very soon. I am thinking about buying a brush guard and maybe some Hella 700's to start with. The truck is silver, and I think it would look cool to get a silver/black "contrasting" effect going on, ex black wheels, black brush guard, fender flares, etc. I've also read the tutorial on painting headlights, and that sounds intriguing as well, may need to try it. Here's a picture of the truck as she sits now. I hope to learn lots from this site!

Clean looking truck. Welcome to the site. Sorry you have to have that plate on the front.

LOL! Thanks for the welcome and the compliment. The person who owned it before me took GREAT care of the entire truck. The seats all have seat covers, there are rubber floor mats, it is really in great shape, especially for a 6 year old one.

Nice truck! Welcome to the site!

Since you have an 05 with the 5.4 you may want to read up on this. Trust me, I've been down that road.

Yeah I like the 5.5, but it makes it hard to put in a toolbox while still having enough bed space. Simple solution of fold up the back seats I guess haha.
