leveling Kit

I know its already a big question with a lot of people. But I am looking to put a leveling kit on my 2004 FX4 supercrew. I want to go with 35"s and I am wondering how the travel is when going off road. My buddy put one on his truck and got out the army before I got my truck so I wasn't to sure how well it rode with 35's. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it.

As well as a good brand to buy. I got a sweet deal on some 35" procomps the other day so I am committed to my project just need some insight.

Thanks, Doug

A 2.5" leveling kit is as big as you want to go on the front. You'll be able to fit 35x12.50 tires then. A 3" kit will not only level your truck, but it will also wear your balljoints down quicker. Good brands include: Nitto, BF Goodrich, Toyo, and of course Pro Comp. It just comes down to personal preference though.
Hope this helped,
Chris

I have 35"s with a 2.5 leveling kit and I wheel it pretty often, had the wheel stuffed in the rear and I don't think it rubbed much if it did at all the stock suspension don't flex like a crawler to begin with so it should be fine depending on your rims.

A leveling kit will not give you any additional suspension travel over stock. It is just a spacer that goes in between the strut and the mount.
