Had mine done 5-25-11. I didn't even get through a cup of coffee before the service writer came in and handed me the keys. Maybe 20 minutes total.

 

My dealer is out of the part and can't get any.

 

mine was scheduled for yesterday, but service dept. called Thursday afternoon and said no parts and something about a national back order.

 

Just had mine done and they had just gotten in the parts. There is a back-order for a lot of dealers! I decided to get the oil changed and could not pass up the new front rotors and brakes for only 325.00 then I get a 40 dollar rebate from Ford.....seems like doing it my self would have been close to that based on all my searching and reviews. Oh, I was in and out in about 2 hours including the recall.

it took an hour for me, certain vins require a new airbag module too . i was one of them.

 

i got mine went to drop it off and some girl ran a stop sign and i hit her good thing my air bag didnt deploy

 

drove into the service bay, registered, ..............looked at the new trucks on the lot and drooled. Wiped my mug off on the way back to the showroom just sat down and they called my name. Picked up the keys signed everything and drove off 40 minutes later.

 

I had to go back the next day to have the SYNC in my car upgraded. While they were doing that, I walked the lot too. I restrained myself from taking a test drive in a new Eco-Boost...but I think I want one!

 

Any ideas? It seems to be too much of a coincidence that my air bag light came on... a recall was announced saying the light will come on.. ???

Now the deal wants $100 bucks just to look further? Can't Ford stand behind their trucks? I've had so many problems with my 04 FX4? Not sure I will own another Ford truck??

 

Got mine done last Thursday. Bummer is I made a 1pm appointment on Wednesday with the dealership - then dropped it 2 1/2 hours earlier cause I decided to have them do brake job as well. Truck sat all day Wed and was NEVER TOUCHED. I only know this cause I called at 5pm as I'd heard nothing from anyone and was told - we didn't get to it today, but we'll get on it first thing in the morning." Got the truck back 1:30pm Thursday - 26.5 hours after dropping it off.

3rd time I've had service issues at this dealership --- and when I complained the owner's assistant said she would talk to the owner the next morning to work out some way to compensate me for my troubles and get back to me. She was gonna call me back on Friday. Still no word as of tonight. Me thinks it's time to find a new dealership...
