2006 ford f150 7700 series

hello. this is my first post on this forum. im looking for some more information on my truck.

i have a white 2006 f150, 7700 series.

all i really know is that its a "beefier" suspension, and has a slightly higher gvwr.

anybody know anything else?

i got wheels and tires put on it, which was a real pain to find wheels for it. only choice is to get them custom cnc machined or get lucky online and find some. i also got ceramic brakes and new rotors and calipers all around. they are all "one unit". i have flowmaster 40 series on it, a k&n drop in filter.

like i said, just looking for any other info on it. thanks alot

dan

Is this one of the "Heavy duty payload" ones? 7 stud wheels, etc?

There is no such thing as a 2006 7700 series. Those ended in 03. Yours would be an 8200lb GVWR if it is the 7 lug axles. Main differences would be things like suspension, engine cooling etc.

It is called the heavy duty payload. You can see the GVWR on the door sticker. Not sure of any place that lists all the differences.

I believe 4wheelparts and many others stock 7-lug wheels in different sizes. I know I've seen them on ebay.

The only reason I'm even aware of it is because I recently did the brakes/rotors/calipers on my truck. It took me a bit to figure out what the difference was between the rotors for "heavy duty payload" and regular ones was. Finally figured it out talking to a parts counter guy.

Nope, you have the same 4R75E as all the 5.4 trucks.

There is a site that I posted a link to on here about a month ago, and now I can't find it. On this site you can put in the vin# and I believe it shows you window sticker. I do have it on my work computer and will try to post it tomorrow. Maybe it will help.
