i was wondering if anyone knows of a hidden winch mount available for my 08 f150? for some reason warn winch only makes a kit for 04 and 05 models. anyone know why?

I would also like to know. I am looking to buy a winch from Harbor Frieght. But I do not wish to get a large grille guard. I want something clean looking. I could have used one a couple weeks ago during the blizzard in Long Island. Got the trailer stuck and took me forever to get it out. Truck never really got stuck, but I pulled out a couple landscaping dump trucks with a tow strap. A winch would have made it easier and less violent.

 

The bumper design changed slightly from the 04 and 05 years to the 06 through 08 years (i.e. 04-05 has rectangular fogs and 06-08 has round fogs). Not sure how much it changed but cant have been much. I would think that you would be able to make one work for an 08 as the bumpers dont seem to have changed all that much, and the winch mount I would think would mount to the frame which should be the same from 04 to 08.
