door key clynders

both my key cylnders went to crap on my truck... Dealer wants $150 for new ones. Is there another option, aftermarket or a repair kit on the market? I'd like to keep my current key.

Lock cylinders at tascaparts.com are $34.53 each. Have you sprayed "deep creep" into the cylinder and try working the key? If you are handy order them from tasca parts and install them yourself. Easy enough job. Call their 800# to see if you can give your lock code to order that specific cylinder or you can take the new cylinder to a locksmith to have it rekeyed for like 20$

Most locksmiths will have Graphite in stock. It's a fine dust that acts as a dry lubrication for the lock. Spray some of the dust in the lock and then work the key for a minute and it functions like new. We use it at work all the time.
