Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. The Raptor is more of an offroad truck than anything else in production. It is purpose made for running the desert. No, it's not for "off-road" if you are talking rock crawling, trails in the woods, or mudding. It's a feat of engineering that can't be denied how well it does it's job as it is intended.
The raptor was designed with every image of baja racing in mind. Just step back and look. But with its suspension it could do so amazing desert/mountain trails with mild rocks. But the thing was designed for jumping. And i love it.
If you want a mudding truck, You shouldn't have bought a raptor. If you want mudding, you need a 150 or 250(depending on diesel or gas if you arent swapping the engine) and throw some huge axles under it. If you don't think the raptor has *****, you are going to start breaking stuff when you put REAL tires on it, its that simple.
You are taking an amazing truck and putting it into a different environment, so no, it wont work for what you want. If you want a "real" mudder, get some ags, some rockwells, and coils and call it a day. I am not a fan of the raptor, I wouldn't ever own one, but I still think for a stock truck its damn good.

1. No pics of a raptor in his profile. If I had one, you can bet there would be pictures of it everywhere.
2. Only pics he has are very generic. A few parts of a 04-08 truck. Okay...?

3. Would someone who supposedly has a 1000+ hp vette be asking all the questions he has? I can't hear anything that sounds like someone who has experience with building any motor in the posts he has. Almost all of his own threads are "What is the best....?"

Yes I agree you would be the first to lift a raptor and it would look very cool. But you would get so much s*** for it, like why would you rip off the suspension that you paid so much extra for an what makes the raptor so unique for a big lift, and take away all of its speed an handling qualities. But hey man in the end its up to you an everyone is gona think its a bad *** ride.
Well he also in this thread mentioned about how much overpriced a raptor is vs. a regular 4x4. Someone that would think a raptor is overpriced and dog everything about it wouldn't spend that much extra money on a truck just to rip the suspension out of it and replace it with a lift.
I understand trying to squeeze an extra 2-3 inches out of a raptor. Thats probably possible with some minor work that wont effect performance. But lifting it completely is a joke. It makes the soft, flexible suspension to rock.

I bought my raptor last year and happy with the truck, however having several lifted truck in the past I prefer a lifted truck over the raptor. Yes the truck looks awesome, but there are very limited after market parts and I am always looking to modify my toys. I did buy the Rize kit knowing I was going to buy a 2004-08 F150 and install it, however after seeing that F150 with the 16" lift posted here last week, I called B&C Offroad and they could lift my Raptor.
I get a kick out of all of you know it alls. You read everything about the Raptor and NONE of you have one or even drivin one and dont really know that its not all what you think. Ford built it with desert racing in mind, but it is a street trcuk. Ford did race one, however they didnt tell you they stripped a stock Raptor down to the frame and replaced EVERYTHING and then raced it. the fact is, it is cool looking, but no different than a stock 4x4 F150 with 35" tires.
The suspension is TOO SOFT, it bottoms out all the time. Its a street truck, it rides like a car on 35's.
The Raptor is a god desert vehicle, but not perfect. I now a shop hear how belt 2 F-150 preruners, that a raptor brook the suspension trying to keep up with them.
Now the owner is upgrading to brinthel suspension.
If you go reasonably fast in it, then it is amassing out of the box package. But there is a room for improvement.
Preruners are not lifted, you need to keep the center of gravity as low as possible if you want to drive fast in the desert.
The general recommendation is 2” to 3” larger tiers and moded finders.
