Listen to this possible trade

Hey guys, I got an 05 f150 fx4 super cab with 125k miles on it about 3 months ago, He didn't have the title so he applied for one and all this **** happened and I still dont have it. He has to get a license in North carolina for some reason now. I have been in contact with the buyer the whole time and he brought up he would be willing to trade me my f150 for his 06 f350 lariat, diesel, long bed, With tons of work done to it with the heads, egr delete ect. He has paperwork for all of it and he will write me a 3 month warranty. The truck has 165k miles on it which is a little higher than I wanted. I paid 8500 for the truck 3 months ago which was cheap..it had brand new bfg all terrain tires..and work just done to it. He told me if I add 2k cash, I can have the f350. So in total I would have 10,500 into it. Seems like a deal to me, I don't know how long I would keep it because I don't need a truck that HUGE. Tell me what you guys think
Thanks

for 10,500 it's a good deal. just realize maintenance aint cheap, my 05 i probably spent 2500-3000 in the year and a half of owning it just to keep it running correctly. worst comes to worst, sell it and buy something newer and lower mileage with 3-4k profit (should be easy, probably more like 6k). i'm assuming it's 4wd?

Sounds like you should "complete" the transaction by getting the title to the truck you now want to trade. Or am I reading your post wrong?

You are I think. The title to the f150 was applied for about 3 months ago because he lost it. The title to the f350 is still in the banks possession so that shouldn't take long at all to get.

FX4 or Lariat?

In one post you said it was a lariat, in another you said it was an FX4..might make a difference for your selling point if you do decide to sell.

So the bank has it but he is just going to give it to you? This all sounds a little fishy. I urge you to use extreme caustion and do not turn over keys or anything else until you are 100% certain you are in the clear.

I'll second what Micheal said. Be real careful! Something smells fishy.

I said the same EXACT thing the day he posted, but my post has mysteriously vanished.

Walk away from it, it definitely sounds screwy especially the written warranty. "I could take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed" just saying.
