I have this exact hitch. If you want the absolute best WD system for the most reasonable price, this is it.

You may think that the sway control isn't needed, but the first time that you ever have a trailer nearly flip because of a combination of towing conditions that you encounter, you will understand the need.

With this WD system your trailer will tow behind you so securely and under control that you will be astonished. I absolutely love this WD hitch! You will need to weigh the trailer tongue with the trailer loaded so that you know what the actual ball weight is. I use the Sherline scale, available separately or there is a method shown online to use a bathroom scale. I have the 1200 lb bars that I use with a 800/ 850 lb tongue weight. This allows me to set the bars on the 5th link which is optimal.

I have a Reese WD hitch for my 7,500lb dry rated trailer and it performs great! It's identical to the one in the link above except my hitch design is different. I also have the 1200lb bars and use the fifth link on the chains.

They all pretty much do the same thing, I think my current one is a Reese but I am not sure. You can get them from Camping World and I am pretty sure Tractor Supply carries them too.

Check with your local RV dealerships to look at em in person and get an idea of what to look for.

My dad had one on his 91 F250 that had the hitch and then 2 spots next to it for the sway bars to lock into...not sure what it was but was heavy duty and worked awesome.

I'm looking into the samething right now the new TT I bought out weighs my old torsion bars. But I'm trying to figure out if I want to purchase a new hitch or just put airbags on the truck.

I have used the Equalizer for years and it is outstanding. I previously had a Reese and this one is much better and easier to use. http://www.rvwholesalers.com/catalog...ailer-hitches/
