New Lift. Tire size?

I have a 2005 white F-150. I gonna put a 6" lift in but i torn between tire size. 33 or 35. I think the 33 will be cheaper to buy and little better on the gas. i know not much better but still. was hoping for some pics of trucks with 33's on so i can see how they fit. Thanks

I have 33's on mine and wish everyday that I had 35's instead. Your new tires will be pricey period. Don't factor the cost into your decision. What's an extra Benjamin or two if your already dropping 1k for your tires anyway? I'll post a pick of mine tomorrow. My vote would be the 35's. Especially if you have a 6 inch lift.

if you're going to do it, do it right, and get the 35's.

35's. 33's just wont fill the space that youve created with the lift. If you go smaller you will regret it evertime you drive by someone with 35's. But in the end you are the one paying for the tires and sometimes price does make the decision for use.

There are a couple pics in this thread.

My vote is for 35's.

IMO 33s will only look good on a 6" lift if they sit on a wide wheel. Something like a 305/55/20 tire on 20x10 rims with 4.5" backspacing. This is a 33.2" tire and the width of the wheel will keep them looking larger. Preferably a MT tire with some meaty lugs.

I like this example:

A couple others to consider would be the Toyo MT's <-(Better for colder snowy weather too; due to the softer rubber material but SUPPER heavy), Nitto Trail Grapplers, and also Mickey MTZ's. There are plenty of other threads in hear that touch down on all of these tires. I have found that most of the members have a pretty serious hard-on for the Toyos. I will be getting the 35's next year and am torn between in Toyos and Thompsons. I am in Idaho and get a great deal of winter weather here so the stickiness of the Toyos, in cold weather, are very appealing but the slightly less grip might be worth the less weight and tiny bit of extra mpg I could gain from the Mickey Thompsons. They are all sick tires.

level=33"
6" lift=35's

If you are going to spend the money on the lift....get the right tires

and you can't go wrong with Toyo Mt's....I'm going to try out some Goodyear Duratracs for my next set though...Toyo's don't do that great in the snow, not terrible, but not great.
