Loss of acceleration function

Posting for family member. Anyone have this problem? What is causing the problem? If anyone needs more info let me know.

2006 F150 - 5.4 - Loss of acceleration function - resets when ignition is recycled.

EDIT:
This has happened a few times, It doesn't staul out. They shut it off, restart and can accelerate ok

The fuel module will be checked to see if its cracked or anything.

Thanks for comments so far.

clean your throttle body and put a new fuel filter on that thing, should clear things up, my truck had the same symptoms and cleaning the throttle body cured it, the fuel filter was just a safe measure

Mine would go into limp mode every now and then, but not stall out. I took it to the dealer as its still under warranty. They put a new throttle body on it and it cured the issue.

Two weeks later the fuel pump driver modual crapped out. Might want to check into that as I did have a stall when idling but it re-fired (more cranks then normal). I thought it was bad fuel, and I'm almost 100% positive it was that modual starting to go.
