Skip the Spectre crap even if you want a "CAI" system. I have installed two for friends on a early Tundra and a 01 Chevy. Terrible quality, sub par fit and filters look like junk after a couple months. Either do the Gotts Mod as mentioned or if you want aftermarket look at the Airaid Modular Intake Tube (M.I.T.) similar to the Gotts but cleans up the engine bay.

Thanks guys, dont really have to have the cia, but I do like the clean look. Isnt the gyphon the same as the edge with their custom tune on it for an additional $30?

Yes, but it's the custom tune that makes the difference. Non-custom may mean that you're air-fuel mixture is too lean which is bad for your engine.

Yeah, it gets rid of the awful looking stock tube and improves engine response. I like mine because it cleans up the under hood appearance but still fits in unlike the polished tube and exposed filter setups.

well, it might look better in your opinion, BUT since it performs like poo compared to the gotts intake mod take your pic performance or a mod to add to your mod list that will help slow your truck down just so you can beat off whilst reviewing your mod list

you dont have to get the custom tune right away with a gryphon. you can spend 400 on it and drive it without a custom tune, it cmes with the same level 1 2 and 3 tunes on it, then you can get custom ones later. worth the extra 40 bucks. then if you get a cai you can get a custom tune to correct for it and not make it run lean
