Troyer eFans & UDP ....

Just ordered my setup:
Twin eFan kit and Underdrive Pullies w/Gatorback Belt

The fans are currently on 2 week back order so they are gonna wait till they come in and ship it all at once.....can't wait!

I will be posting on this thread once I get them and once they are installed w/pics and results!

Sweet! I've had nothing but positive results with Troyer's products myself.

I have installed several of Mikes efans over the past 5 years of so. Best advise I can give you is to sit down with the installation documents that come with the kit and read it throughly. Not once, but several times. You will be amazed with the information that they contain, and how much easier it will be if you do what I said.

Interested! Had these same things sitting in my "cart" at Troyer for a little while now. Just can't pull the trigger right now.

Do you have a CAI currently?

Which CAI? Mike recommended the Airforce1(currently out of production) or the aFe to me.

Fans and Pulleys showed up on Thursday...
Sat down and read through the instructions and ensured I had all the tools ready for install.
Started the process this afternoon with the intention of finishing up tomorrow. Got the stock fan and shroud out, but am having difficulty with the Stock Pulley bolt.
This thing just will not budge! I have tried it every way I can think of, including with an impact wrench. Still tight on there. This thing is standard threaded correct!? I broke two craftsman ratchets and an extension trying to get it off with the breaker bar. Decided to hang it up for the night, try again in the morn.

There is a TON of room in there once the stock stuff comes out! Makes me wish Ford would have moved the engine further forward and done the E-fans from the factory!

Not for the faint of heart, but use a long breaker bar and rest it on the frame on the driver side and have a buddy tap the starter.... not start the truck. It will back the crank bolt out with ease.

Got everything installed. Had to go to Sears to get a Deepwell 18mm Impact socket (since I broke a normal socket) to get off the Crank Pulley Bolt. Bought a 15" long Breaker Bar to use instead of a ratchet with a pipe on the end. It came off easy with the right tools.

The fans were a breeze as long as you read the Frickin instructions!!! Went really smooth. Had to take a trip to Harbor Freight for an infrared Thermometer to adjust the fan controllers.
Took the truck for a drive and the best way to describe it.....it feels like the truck has a little more reserve power on hand.

Congrats! Seems like another satisfied Troyer customer. I have been running his UDP and E Fans for 2 years and no problems. Been running his custom tunes now for a few months and extremely satisfied.

they might have them fixed by now but i installed the fan kit 2 years ago and over christmas had one of the controllers burn out and darn near overheated it really badly. (i was going slow through a car wash)

i ended up getting a dc controller? seem much better. havent installed it though.

just a heads up!
