I have an 05 f150 and my securilock has been having problems, it will want to start and sometimes it won't. The securilock light flashes rapildly when i try to start it. I've replaced the transceiver, I don't want to replace the module, it's $206.34 and has to be installed so that's another hundred or two hundreded dollars right there. I was wandering if I bought an 80 dollar bypass module for a remote start system if that would solve my problem and keep me from having to shell out 400 dollars to ford. I've been wanting to put in a remote start system in and that may be what i'll do if it would fix the problem. Any suggestions?

 

You don't have one of those Speed Pass things from Exxon or Mobil on your keychain do you? They will often cause a problem with the security system.

 

nope nothing on my keychain, I have 3 keys and I have had all 3 of them off of their keyrings and tried them. I know sometimes one won't work and another will and then none will work. It's very random and will work for a week at a time then decide to stop. I wish I could get rid of the securilock all together. If someone wants to steal my truck then they probably know how to bypass that so i doubt it will slow them down any with it on there. It's only been doing it for a month maybe a month and a half
