Mine has started to do this recently, but after a few times of trying to eject it, it will slowly come on out

Take an old disc that isn't worth anything, turn power on, slide the old disc in slowly on top side of stuck disc and push down and pull outward using slight pressure and push eject. You may have to attempt this three or more times before it ejects.

My '02 Stang GT had the Mach 460 system with the 6 disc changer. The cd's would stick after it heated up really well (3 - 4 hours continuous use) or when using older/thicker disc's or disc's with a lot of graphics on top of cd.

It may be time for an upgrade. Check out Crutchfield.com for one of their economically priced HU's. They supply everything needed for the install. Easy to accomplish. Good luck.

Just had the player jam in my Mustang with the 6 disc. It was trying to change CD's and stupid me shut to car off and opened the door. Ford swaped in a new one but was telling me to be careful with burnt cds as to most are thicker and tend to jam in the stock units

Get your baseball bat out. lol.
I just lost my CD.
I took that as an opportunity to put in a new head unit.

I had this happen once with a burnt disc that had a label on it... label caused it to get stuck.

Keep trying... it will eventually come out. After a couple weeks of trying mine came out.

After having the truck off it will realize that there is still a CD in there. Or, push load and select that number and it might catch on...

Never put labels on burnt CD's - either label them with a Sharpie or use printable blanks and print directly onto the disks with a capable printer (or use a Lightscribe burner and blanks).

Mine has done this as well....IMO Ford's stock 6 disc unit is a POS that should be blown up.

If you attempt to eject the CD you will hear the unit attempting to do it...use a small knife etc in the opening and you will see the disc in the back of the unit. Put the blade on top of the CD and slightly press downward on top of the disc...the unit will spit it out everytime.

Mine disc player also says "Bad Disc" all the time and spits it out, or it will have issues playing between songs if you manually select to change the track. It is on my list of things to rip out and replace.

I agree, that unit stinks. My stang's did the same thing, but I already had a head unit ready to go in, so I got impatient and hacked the thing to bits. The CDs in it were worth more than the unit, now with my avi, I'm careful to use cheap, replaceable cds, and because of the issue with the stang unit I got the same unit out of my f150 as soon as I could after I bought it.

All you have to do is remove the "-" (negative) terminal on the battery... go have a smoke or cup of coffee, and hook it back up. It will then cycle the radio/cd player.

I used to have to this all the time on my Visteon CD6 on my Escrap...

I had the same problem. Because the CD changer was trying to eject the CD 24x7, it ran my battery down. I had to jump my truck to get it to start. Any who, to solve the problem (and since I never use the CD changer)of the ever running CD changer, I simply disconnected it, removed it from the radio, and threw it in the trash. Maybe someday, I will buy an aftermarket radio with all the bells and whistles. However, for now, I am satisfied with my SiriusXM.

Mine has been doing this off and on for the last year or so. I just try it a few times most of the time it comes out after a few tries. Sometimes just listen to the radio for a little bit or shut it off then try it again then it comes out or has for me when it didn't come out of a few tries the first go around.
