Gear ratio

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section. But I just bought a 06 f150 king ranch and had a question about the gearing ratio. All I know it's got a 6" (I presume) lift with 325/65r18 tires. Love the truck but would like to:
1. Raise it more
2. Get bigger tires 35-37"
3. Get better fuel economy. Now I know this one is out the window, bit I thought if I get one of those edge evo. I could get a little better.

As for the gear ratio, all I can tell you is at 70mph I sit about 1800 rpm. I know it's hard going by this but that's all I know. Don't know much about fords so please bare with me.

Cheers

If you are talking about going above a 6" lift and fuel economy in the same thread you are smoking something good. The EVO/Gryphon,etc won't likely make a noticable difference in gas mileage. you'd be lucky if you got 1mpg better with it, which wouldn't pay for itself any time soon.

With 35 to 37" tires you should regear to 4.56.

How would I find which gears I have right now? Any way of telling?

I know the gas milage is way out there, thought I'd ask anyways.

Your tires are approximately a 35" tire. I have 35" tires too and with 3.73 axles I turn about 1800 rpm at 70mph. I will be putting in 4.56 gears in 3 weeks.

^ I guess I have 3.73 gears too. I wasn't sure if the previous owner changed gears or not. Is it hard to change them?

How do you know what you have if you haven't looked on the door jamb sticker?

Just found out gear ratio. It is 3.73. Axle code B6. Is there any problems i could run into without regearing with 35-37's or is it just worse gas milage?

if you put 35-37s on you'll get a mpg loss and an overstressed tranny....
If you regear along with the new tire size your tranny will become less stressed and you'll get back some of the mpgs lost to the oversized tires BUT you'll never ever get the mpgs back to what your truck was getting when it was stock....

If you have 3.73's, 4.10's are not worth it, if you regear at all go to 4.56's. With 35's to 37's your gas mileage will not be any worse and may improve slightly.
