A good used gas V-10 will pull that without even breaking a sweat, and those are reliable low maintenance engines.

Well for most driving a focus would be best for 90% but there are times when I have to have a truck a focus wouldn't carry a sheet of plywood or pull a trailrer so...
What do you do without breaking the bank??????? And saftely get the job done and still be prepaired for what you plan to do?
