Vibration at 60mph

This afternoon, my truck suddenly started a pretty bad vibration at 60mph. This morning, when I took my wife to work, it was fine. This afternoon, I go to get on the interstate to pick her up from work, and I now have the vibration.

I really felt that it was going to be a knot, or some other defect, on one of my tires. However, I have looked them over pretty good and don't see any thing. (I'm wanting new tires, so I was really trying to find something wrong with them. Ha ha.) I know that the most common thing would be balancing of the tires, however, this vibration just came from nowhere; it wasn't a gradual thing over time.

My truck is a 2004 FX4. I added a 2" autospring leveling kit around New Years. I rotate my tires every 5k miles (I rotated them about a month ago). The vibration is felt between 55 and 65 mph, with 60 being where it shakes the worst. Above 70 and below 55mph, there seems to be no shaking.

Any suggestions?

Could have thrown a weight off the wheel or depending where you live, it could be some snow or ice built up on the wheel.

I did check for the weights. However, it's interesting that you mention the snow and ice. Today is one of the few times in a year that we have snow on the ground in Oklahoma. I guess I'll see what happens in the morning drive to work when there is no snow.

Well, I think we have a winner. This morning, my truck was fine. It must have been the snow/ice on the wheels.
