Anyone got a MBRP catback? opinions?

i have a universal magnaflow muffler, but am looking for more sound and better looks.

anyone run this

http://mbrpautomotive.com/index.php?...&part=S5200409

its the t409 stainless steel one, and is 403 dollars on jeggs shipped. this is the in the middle quality for the si/so cat backs.

i defiantly want to stay single in single out, and want a quality stainless catback, im thinking this things right up my alley.

opinions?

before i get flamed, im not doing this for alleged mpg gains, just for looks and sound, if it gets me a mpg or so, ill be happy. also, i will be purchasing a gryphon before i get this.

if i get this catback, would i benifit from a custom 87 octane tune from php? all my truck would have go fast wise is dvw intake and this catback.

or would i be okay with the stock 87 towing tune on the gryphon?

thanks guys.

I have the T304 (my pics show my old roush muffler, haven't gotten around to updating my pics), I absolutely love the sound of my muffler. Its not obnoxiously loud when just crusing around, but give it the gas and its a whole new ball game. I live in NC and travel to central NY quite a bit so it has seen it's fair share of snow and rain, and so far no signs of rust, just a little bit of discoloration, which can be expected.

Have it, love it. Got the 304 I think. It was right around $405 shipped from www.performancetruckproducts.com

I think I lost a little low end torque, but I expect the tuner to make up for it and then some.

One of my friend installed the cheaper sido kit from MBRP. The piping seems fine but the tips are pitted and rusting. He got it just last fall but they over salt up here

lost torque?

is a dvw intake and catback enough to warrant a custom tune from php?

anything warrants a custom tune...

i really really liked my MBRP installer series SI/SO. a lot of my friends commented on the sound and thought it sounded great at idle, not irritating at cruise and awesome at WOT.

my tip did discolor and that was a bummer but the price was good and if you polished the tip, it just looked bronze.

This is good to hear, I ordered mine a few weeks ago but have to wait to get back from this deployment to install. Very excited, ordered the installer series as well. I live in Washington state so I'm not too worried about rust but I figured I would spray some BBQ paint on it to add a little protection. Do you think this will matter much considering most mufflers rust from the inside out?

Had a MBRP SIDO split rear in the 304 SS. Really a nice mellow sound. Video of my MBRP with my Magnaflow cats are in my signature and clips of my MBRP without magnaflow cats is on my Youtube page.
