Question 37"s would be nice (2005 f150) PICS would be helpful!

So i wasgoing to go with the 8" Rize but its a pretty penny. Is there away i could fit 37"s and 20"s with just a 6" lift along with my 3" leveling kit? i wanna go the cheapest route here, but would rather not add a body lift. Pics would be great! Let me see those 37"s!

yes, depending on the 6in. kit you can put the leveling kit on top of it for a 9in. lift.

thanks man, umm im not completely sure but any kit that comes with full replacement struts i know you can. some people have done it on kits that have a strut spacer too.

also if you get any stage two lift it should come with adjustable coilover so you can turn those up to make it an 8in. kit.

Ill offer my experience and knowledge on other kits.... Yes the Rize is a very nice kit, But like you said, a bit pricey. I run a 6" Skyjacker with a 2 inch spacer. My CV angles are very resonable compared to others who stack spacers with some of the other lifts. RCD and Rough Country kits only drop the differential 4-5" whereas the most of the other kits such as Skyjacker drop it 6". There are guys on here with RCD and Rough Country lifts who couldnt run more than a 1" spacer and had to settle for 7" of total lift....

I just ordered an an Auto Spring 2.5" spacer for my truck as my CV angles appear it would be able to handle it just fine. A 3" would work, but is out of my comfort zone. My point is, find a 6" kit that will actually drop the differential 6". Many people like Fabtechs, yet they require you to re clock the front drive shaft and people running 2" spacers with it seem to have more severe angles than my Skyjacker...

As far as 37s go, wheel width and offset is key. I was running 37's on 20x10 Moto Metal 951s with a -18 offset. I trimmed more than I cared to and rubbed the inside wheel during turns over a bump or up a hill. I just switched to 20x9 BMF Novakanes with a 0 offset and have no issues whatsoever. I wish more of the wheel companies would offer wheels with 0 offset as these trucks need a lot of lift and trimming to run 37s on many of the popular wheels. My goal with the BMFs is to rebuild my wheel wells back to factory so they dont look so bitched up.

You can go to my gallery to see what my CV angles look like with a 2" spacer on the skyjacker and to get an idea as to what your 3" would do. Spacers are cheap enough if you need to go down a size.

Alright well i appreciate all your help! Im still unsure on what I'm gonna do...I've been thinking and might end up getting a 6" lift with 35"s. And i can always add a body lift if i just had to get 37"s or 38"s. My drive to work and back just doubled so it may be the best option at first anyways. As far as regearing, im definitely going to do that..but should i go with 4.56? or 4.88 if i may go bigger than 35"s in the future?

either one will work, just depends on your needs. do you tow alot? if so i would go with 4.88 for extra low end grunt, if not go with 4.56 for better fuel mileage with adequate low end. I run a 4.56 gear with 33's because i tow alot while still AVG 14-15 mpg unloaded

well as for gears thats really your call. some people gear to 4.56's and some to 4.88's. with 4.56's you will get slightly better gas milage and with 4.88's you will get slightly more power.

the answer is trully dependant on how you drive, but most see about 1-2 mpg better at most on the highway. the best benefit will be city mileage as your truck won't have to work so hard to get up to speed.
