Adding auto-headlights to 04-08

I have searched for days trying to find info on adding auto-headlights to my 06 STX and the only info I've found is for 09+ models. Quick question, is it just a matter of swapping the switch for a auto-light model switch like they do on the 09-10 models? Or is wiring involved?

Does the flashing red light on the dash have the auto-light sensors even on models without auto headlights??

Thanks a bunch!

I know for a fact the switches will need to be swapped and I believe the auto-light sensors is not in the red flashing light if you don't have auto lights. I think it is two different parts one with autolamp and one without. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys,
I was able to find a couple threads on installing autolamps in previous generation F150's and they were saying the wiring is there, it's just a mater of installing the new switch and light sensor in the dash, same as newer generation. I'm going to assume it's the same for 06. The parts are pretty reasonable so worth a shot.
