just installed a viper 5701 in my 06 crew 5.4 and it will only start if my key is in the on position. i have a bypass but wanted to make sure that it was all wired up and working right before i tried to program it. so i put the key just in the ignition to try it out but it wouldnt start. so i tried with the key in the on position and it worked. so what am i missing? i know the whole remote start thing has been beat to death but im at my wits end. if anyone could give me a hand id appriciate it.

 

well im maken some progress it will now start with they key in only acc. anyone?

 

Sound like it's not reading the key in the bypass box so when it's in the ignition it reads it.
