Problem with Headlight Replacement bulbs...Help!!!

Hello,

My son, bought some HID Xenon Bulbs for his 04 F 150 FX4 off ebay. They are H13. They fit in the hole, but they will not turn clockwise to lock in. I put alot of pressure on them and they will not move. I am not sure if it is the bulb or if i am doing something wrong...Any ideas?

Hi & welcome!

1. Return the cheap bulbs - as you can see, they can arrive defective / mis-labelled.

2. Never put HID's in stock housings - it is both illegal and can blind fellow drivers - not cool.

3. Example of how to do this properly: https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...-retrofit.html

4. Have yer son do some research first: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ar...ns-v-hids.html

5. We have a new Lighting forum, FYI: https://www.f150online.com/forums/il...-lighting-131/

6. Why are you posting, and not yer son?

7. Good luck.

Well put MGD!
The fact that the bulbs don't fit is just the truck telling not to run those cheap crappy bulbs.

Make sure you used the locking adapter piece most HID kits come with. It has a little red grommet on it.
