Bad News

Hi guys
I need some help real quick, I have a 2005 F150 4.6 work truck, last night the battery light came on then went off, I notice the volts were as always little pass the mid point, but after I drove it about 25 miles it was below the mid point, When I started it today it was again just a little pas the mid point, but the battery light was on then went off,so I test drove it for about 30 miles, then the BAD NEWS, After about 20 miles the battery gauges went all the way to the low side, then all the gauges shut down even the speedometer, when I got it home it was completely dead, so I had the battery tested and it test ok.(new in May 2010) Any help

Thanks

Altenator or not sure if it has a voltage regulator or not.
Local auto parts store can check it.

I agree, sounds like the alternator. The battery alone can no continuously support the truck.

Alternator, it left me stranded 1 mile from home, although I coasted a mile and a half after the truck shut down.
