06 F-150 5.4L RPM Fluctuate at Highway Speed

I got a question about my 06 5.4L Super-crew F-150. It has around 120,000miles on it and has for the most part been trouble free. I changed the plugs and coils around 20,000 miles ago (due to a Misfire) and after that the throttle position sensor went bad so it would go to idle by itself when ever it wanted. After replacing it it seemed to run fine so I did not take it to the dealer for a re-flash. My wife drives the truck to work around 30 miles one way (all freeway miles) at around 70-75MPH. I drove it recently and at those speeds with either the cruise control on or a steady foot on the pedal it feels like the RPMs are fluctuating slightly down then back up the down and up constantly. I cant see it on the Tach but you can feel it if I had to guess it is moving 20-50 RPMs. I just want to know if this may be normal or is it a start of a bigger issue.

Has anyone seen this before? I searched but only came up with kick down throttle issues or Idle issues.

Thanks
Scott

No check engine light present. So I have not checked for codes but I will.
TB has never been cleaned.
MAF was cleaned when the TPS was changed.
Fuel filter was replaced around 10,000 miles ago. ( factory Motorcraft).
the fuel pump driver control module (Did not know it had one) I will look into it.

I will look over the Ho-tos Also.

Thanks

Who told you that you have a TPS on a truck with an electronic throttle?

Are you thinking of something else?

The TPS is on the opposite side of the throttle body from the electronic throttle assembly.

I thought it did.....
It's mounted to the accelerator pedal.....
Then it sends a signal to the pcm and the pcm positions the throttle body where it needs to be based on the position of the TPS....

Correction edit....
Accelerator pedal position switch.

Accelerator pedal position switch.
It's mounted on the Throttle Body as in this pic: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...OU%3AUS%3A1123 it's the connection on the left hand side.

The code that came up for it. JK

Like others have said It is on the throttle body opposite side of the control motor. I think the instructions said (with the new Motorcraft Part) to have the computer reflashed or something. But after replacing it the truck ran fine so I did not take it to the dealer.

Question about the fuel pump driver module Is its failure from only salt corrosion in cold weather climates? Or are all of them corroding even the ones that never see road salt and snow.

Just wanted to update this. I changed my fuel filter, cleaned my mass air flow sensor and throttle body ( it was not to dirty I must have cleaned it when I did the plugs at 100k). There were no codes present. After all of the above the truck seems fine now. I alsoremoved and looked at the fuel pump driver and it is not coroded at all on the back side ( must be a east coast thing).
Thanks for all the help.

Alright the problem is back now but much worse. The truck did run fine for a while but now I get a code P2315 for a Throttle Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A/B Voltage Correlation.
This is the only code I get and everything I have read everyone is saying it is the TPS on the throttle body. But the description says throttle pedal switch? I did replace the TPS on the throttle body already with a factory motocraft one. I think that is not the problem since it is saying TPPS is the code?

As always any help is appreciated.

There is also a sensor on the throttle pedal - that's how the PCM knows how much gas you wanna give it.

Just got off the phone with Ford parts and they said the adjustable throttle pedal assy.
is on a nation wide back order and lists for $788.00 (but he could sell it to me for $530.00).
My question to you guys are:
Has anyone had to change the throttle pedal assy.?
Should I take it to the dealer to get diagnosed properly? They said $95.00 even to check out.
