Looking for a boondock type bumper.

So just in time for me to blow my taxes again... I find out that boondock is out of business. I was planning to get one of the heavy duty front bumpers with a winch..
Where can I find a similar bumper and what price am I looking at?

Sure there are plenty more out there, hopefully this will get you started.

Also, I noticed that the ranchhands only replace the lower part of the bumper, I want one that replaces the whole assembly.

Ideally, the mods I'm going to make are all supposed to be useful. I'm a firefighter and storm chaser and I want to be prepared for everything. I'm also looking for a black toolbox and possibly a toolbox down the side as well. Besides my turnouts, I plan to carry things like axes, bolt cutters, a chainsaw, chains and straps, everything I can think of.

... yet another nice F150 about to be made horrible. I don't understand why people insist on putting these type of bumpers on their truck... unless you're planning to ram it into stuff, why not just put a brush or grill guard on...

Brush or grill guards look horrible IMO. Just my opinion dont take it the wrong way like most will .

To the OP i would go with the Road Armor one.

..most of the "brush guards" I've seen readily bend into the lights, fenders, etc they are supposed to be protecting. They look cool, right up until they encounter any brush.

Lol, yes I intended to USE it that is why I wanted a heavy duty one. Also the provision for a winch because I do go play from time to time and I also go run the backroads when it gets icy looking for stuck folks. Try to save them the towing bill.

I figure it would also be helpful in situations like in 2006 when a large tornado hit a town about 30 mins north of here and we couldn't get in for the debris. I could have pushed some of it out of the way if I had a truck with a good bumper.

Hell I could even pushstart the cars at the dirt track I go to

I wouldn't do it with my truck, but one time a friend of mine had a Suzuki sidekick with a home made bumper and we were mudding in one of my fields and were playing in the woodline and all of the sudden here he comes mowing down trees lmao. That was just too cool. Of course these weren't huge trees, but just the idea of making your own road....

The buckstop bumpers are exactly what I was looking for, might have to pull the trigger on one of those...

I volunteer with the emergency services during the hurricane season down here. When stuff is flying around, it's nice to have something stronger than a wire frame clothes rack on the front. I care more about function than aesthetics.

I had a car cut me off and slam on their brakes. I slammed into them. The back end of this 08 Acura TL came off. I suffered no damage whatsoever, nor did the annoying airbags deploy. That's the whole idea. You beef up enough that your truck never has downtime and never takes damage, at least in the front.

I'm not trying to stir the pot here, I just wanted to show the other side.

Good choice on Buckstop, OP, Road Armor is overpriced and overweight.

Boondocks is back in business. Their website is GoBoondock.com if you go to their specs page it explains why they weren't available for a while.
