Yes, the chrome caps on mine are separate. They were part of the Lariat Chrome Package from Ford. Yours will come all black.

 

Yup.... you can get them without the chrome. That is the part number I gave you.

I'm new to the site but from what I can tell I'm gonna like it here. So far a huge help!

 

I thought the mirror caps were a separate part altogether. Maybe Tasca just lumps the two parts together in the other package. I figured the mirror caps could be bought separately in any color or blank for PTM.

 

Different part numbers for each one. The caps can be purchased as an add on by the aftermarket but they do not fit like the caps that are there now. I'll see if I can dig up the part numbers for the three different mirrors. The only thing that changes on the part numbers are the last 2 letters. The entire mirror need to be taken apart to get to the fasteners that hold the caps in place. I wouldn't want to chance breaking my brand new mirrors changing out the caps.
