swapping OEM heated seats in a lariat?

My 05 Screw lariat didn't come with heated seats. I found a great set of 08 Lariat SCREW heated seats from a salvage yard. Since mine is a lariat with leather and the Electronic climated control. Should I just beable to swap the seats and the control panel below the h/ac controls with the switches? Does anyone know if the truck is wired already to do this mod as a plug and play?
thanks,

I can't say for sure, but I would be about 90% sure that it is already wired. I believe that the wiring harness is a generic one used for each trim package but I could be wrong.

I would agree - I can't say for sure that it's wired, but in my 06 Lariat I wanted to add the power pedals assembly. My truck did not come equipped with them so I bought a set from salvage and found that indeed it was wired for them. All I had to purchase was the switch for the dash. My impression is all Lariat's carry all the wiring for all the options- some just aren't used.

Help with this wring please

ok, I got the seats and I started on the passenger side. My truck has a manual seat on pass side and power on the drivers side, (non memory, and no heated). The seats I bought are heated, power driver and passenger. From the picture the plug circled in red was not on my manual seats. Also the wires I marked with a yellow x and line is not on my wire harness. The rest of the harness is there. I borrowed this pic from anothe post but it is the same as my seat I just bought. What is the plug circled in red for and if I go back to the salvage yard and get the harness marked with a yellow line and x do you think it just splices into existing wires in the loom? Any help of diagrams of what the missing wires goes to or if I can splice into what is already there is appreciated. I haven't looked at the drivers side yet but since my current is already power I assume all the plugs will be the same on that side. Thanks guys.

I'm going to be you would need to run wires to the HVAC controls

can you pull up the carpet on the salvage yard truck and follow the wires? I imagine it will be plugged into something on the other end. Near the new switches maybe?

It's part of the wire loom so I don't think that will help. I hope someone can help me out with what the plug is for? If it's just to make the power part of the seat work, I should be able to jump wires from the drivers power seat and have the power part going. What I bought the seat for was the heated part though. Does anyone know if the heated power is in this plug or one of the other 2 pictured?
thanks,

check under your carpet for a spare connector, if its not there, either you will have to custom tap into your loom, or go without... that is my guess.

guys, it looks like a bit more than I'm gonna tackle. I think I'll go the aftermarket seat heater route instead. If anyone wants a great pair of heated memory seats in tan, I listed them in the classified. $250 for the pair. thanks for all the info.
