Getting a ton of frost on the windshield Inside

I have a 04 F150 Super cab andI am getting really fed up now the temp is like 18-25 and i keep getting a lot of frost build up on the windshield, some on the passenger and driver side window but barely a problem. Its getting really annoying and i have no clue what to do.

Any suggestions?

thats what your defroster is for.

Mine does it too, as soon as I hit over 80 it turns into a sheet of ice almost instantly. I can see it growing and have about 8 seconds until the entire windshield is covered.

Most of the time I remember to turn it on but sometimes I forget.

I think it has to do with how the cold air hits the windshield and it cools it super fast. I have yet to figure out a way to fix it.

the easiest way to fix it is to run your defroster in the winter. even on 1 or 2, it will keep enough warm air on the window that the condensation won't be able to form and freeze.

Sometimes frost on the inside of a windshield is a sign of a bad heatercore. Just feel the carpet on the passenger side floor and feel up as high as you can to see if it's wet. Or even try and smell it. hope it helps

most likely its condensation from someone breathing and putting off body heat while not running their heat or defroster. in extreme cold temps like we've had lately, you need to have at least the defroster running... if its not putting out hot air then you have reason to worry.

I should have added more detail.

The frost build up only happens in the evening for some reason. It does not build up frost inside when the truck is running but it builds up when its parked and off, seems like it takes a few hours. It then takes 10-15 minutes just for the frost to disappear after i start the truck up.

The odd thing is, this does not happen everyday. One day there is frost build up, one day there isnt even though if its the same temp both days.

Check to see if it helps to have just ur lower vents open when u shut the truck off, it could just be the humidity coming in straight out of the engine compartment if the last setting u had the truck on was defrost before u shut it off ?
