9000mi remaining on warranty

OK, I have just over 9k left on warranty for my '05 F150. I'm thinking I should bring it in to dealer and have it 'gone over' before warranty expires.....

Any suggestions on what to have checked? I'm thinking have transmission fluid /filter and differentials checked...

Exclamation

They will most likely charge you to just "look" over your truck.

take it in for an oil change when it's due, they have to do their "full circle inspections" for no extra charge. they'll take a good look over your car, but just a generic inspection unless you tell them something specific you need checked out.

warranty?

Usually a complimentary 32 point inspection is all you'll get unless you actually have a maintenance issue. As a service manager I always had customers come in and all we could do is a free 32 point inspection.

I recommend looking it over yourself and saving a little gas money.

Check the following: Ball joints, tie rod ends, steering rack for leaks or damage, brake pads, rotors, front wheel bearings, brake fluid leaks, shocks & struts for leaks, engine and trans for leaks, rear diff for leaks, pull diff plug and check for excess shavings, radiator for leaks, coolant fill/overflow tank, wiper fluid tank, driveshaft u-joints, window and door seals for leaks, oil change and fuel filter replacement.
