Leave it black, looks good that way, I will be following this thread, I've always liked these light bars, and after almost nailing a deer on my way home (narrow secondary rd.) I might be considering one

I ended up saying screw it and told the wife I wanted 1 set of the piaa 525's so I'll have to deal with one set for now since they run $300 a pair but because they do both fog and driving I couldn't pass it up.

Have to wait until xmas to get them

I wanted to thank those who said ANYTHING about someone bumping into the light bar and crushing the lights.

I get my piaa 525's on this past weekend, I angle them 2 nights ago and yesterday as I am coming home after working 14 hour shift this old **** lady sitting on a incline in front of me stalls her car and starts to roll backwards about 15 feet picking up speed and BAM! Yep, lights trashed. I got out and all I could scream was "ever heard of a F'in brake". When the cop got there he gave me **** for yelling at her. F That! I'm so pissed.

Damn man, that sucks big time. These bars aren't built sturdy enough to take any kind of impact unfortunately.

Build it out of some Heavy DOM tubing thick wall, Push the lights behind the bar add a few spikes, who ever backs into it tear that lil plastic bumper up.

damn that really does suck, i know those 525's aren't cheap. i've got two sets. luckily in the year i've had mine ive only had one accident and my light bar punched all the way through a guys tail gate but didn't even break through the powder coat on the bar.
