Muffler Replacement

Im looking to change my muffler out and leave the stock piping. that being said im wanting something that is pretty quiet at idle and has a good tone in cruising and higher rpms..i have had flowmasters in the past on a chevy 5.7l and a 4.0l ranger and i didnt like how raspy they sounded..anyone got any ideas?

id say instead of looking for the perfect muffler check out MBRP's cat back kits... they sound good at idle but if you wanna bark the exhaust it sounds great.. not to mention it looks great...

what i did when looking at exhaust systems is checked out youtube. Plenty of guys on there that have taken videos of their trucks with various exhaust setups. My advice would be check around on there and see if you find anything you like.
