Well, i actually told my boss about the problem with these plugs, and him being a welder, mentioned using a impact gun to give it that shock to break the carbon loose, and after reading on this forum about the same method i decided to go with the impact.
Not to mention it makes the job a whole lot faster.

If that's the case, I wonder why Ford doesn't recommend it in the TSB?

Because ford thinks(and might be true) you might strip out the threads in the head.
