You probably have a plugged cat on the passenger side. Take it to a muffler shop and get it checked out.

I have this code too. Are there two cats? How can I determine which cat it is without checking?

bank 1 is passenger side (right side). p0420 means your convertor is no longer functioning. needs to be replaced. loss of power may be because the cat is plugged up. engine cant breath through restricted cats.

its not the o2 sensor....The reason you got the code is because the o2's are working correctly. I just bought a pair of magnaflow 94136 im gonna put them on....They are supposed to be good in every state except CA.

It depends on how strict your state is. If the OBD2 checks out it should pass unless they are strict on a visual inspection. Ask your local inspection station.
