Sled Deck Finally On

Well, I finally decided to put the deck thats been sitting in our shop for 6 years on my truck. Now all I need is a lil more snow so I can put a sled up top there too Man that thing is freakin' huge though, there is two 4x8 sheets of plywood on the top! It sticks out wider than the mirrors! A sliding one would defiantly be nice, but hey, this one was free!

nothing since i moved to NC but i used to ride all polaris. we had family from CT that came to stay with us every here in Upstate NY that had Ski-doo and they always had problems with them but that was like 10 years ago. I want to move back and get on a 04 F6 Sno Pro. Now all i ride are motorcycles since we dont get snow here

A lot of my friends ride cats, they are great sleds imo, but since my family's always had skidoo, I figured why not keep up the tradition. Idk anybody that's has an f6, but if its like any other cat, I'm sure its great. We do have one older 96 or 97 polaris 550 I think. That's thing gets beat on and rarely maintained and it still keeps going. One reliable sled it is. And the only problem anybodys had in my family with skidoo, is my uncles 08 1000 mxz with like 400 miles, the motor just randomly blew up, piston separated apart or something, I'm not sure. And it was maintained pre good. But other than that we've had good luck with em.

Looks like you should be more worried about getting that house built with all that snow!

I've always thought that would be nice to have one of those instead of towing a trailer all the time. Only thing I'd be worried about is being too top heavy since you're center of gravity is higher.

@LateKnightRides- I don't really have any pics of it out of the truck seeing as I just put it in the other day, but when I do take it out, i'll be sure to get some pics. And I'm pretty sure it's an old marathon brand one, and my uncle paid $2300 back in 2003 i think, and he never used it lol.

@bucky919- I just the other day put a pro-comp add-a-leaf kit in, so I figure that will help a bit, it's supposed to add 800lbs of payload apparently. And it will probably have only one sled on it most of the time tho, I normally only take one lol.

@MTM Ford- Haha I know eh, but thats my dads issue, I'm just a laborer lol. And yeah I'm a lil worried bout that too, but I'm just no gonna try and drive more on the safe side until I get used to the change.

dont put two sleds on it. DOT will love to pull you over and you will be paying fines and BIG fines. 1 sled you will be good but 2 and they will make you pay

Really? I never thought of that, is it because its only a half-ton or something? I've seen other F150 with decks, but I guess there was no sleds on them lol...
