Broken mirror

How to fix? where is the best place to get a new one?

I broke it, lets leave it at that for now.

2006- F-150 XLT S/cab
Power mirrors factory.

Drivers side.

So far I have found these,
They all look and sound like they are plug and play. I found a single replacement for $85 + $20 shipping, so $105 or I can get two new ones for a bit more.
Here is what I was looking at.
I don't think I would have to rewire anything, because I sure don't want to.

what exactly is broken? if it is just the mirror glass, then you can replace that alone for about 20.00.

you can get juet the glass (heated or non-heated), and believe it or not, the heated units are cheaper.

if its the whole mirror housing, then thats a bit more money, but easy to swap.

i am currently having a set of those aftermarket ones PTM'd. They seem pretty high quality for aftermarket, i have Kool-Vue mirrors on my truck currently, and these ones are much sturdier. Plus they look kind of cool with the reflector on the front side.

you could always upgrade to towing mirrors:

My mirrors I bought off of our classified section. I got a really good deal on them, so I'd check the classified section before you buy elsewhere.

The whole thing is busted, plastic and all.

Might get the towing mirrors.

Will those plug right in? I think there might be a wiring change going from a 06 to a new style with heat and signals.

if you don't have heat / signals, you will need to run a couple extra wires to each door and a couple extra grounds. you will probably also have to get two mirror connector pigtails (WPT-201) and splice that in (it will have the extra wires running to the connector that you will need to power the heating / signal). Also, the heating module is supposed to be on a timer so that you don't melt the mirrors.

Might be beneficial to pickup the wiring diagram book for you truck, if this is the method you are looking to go.

Otherwise, if you get mirrors with heat and signal, they will still work, minus the heat and signal.

Too much work for me, I think I will just get these, they should work.

I already got a new set ordered, thanks guys for all the help.

Soon I will have pics of the old one, and the new ones when I put them on.

Hopefully, My mail lady does not mess up again, she almost lost me $168 because she delivers my mail to 524 jasper lane and NOT 524 ponderosa DR.
Even though they sound nothing alike, and my house number and NAME are on a HUGE sign above my mail box.

Silly woman.
